Computer Science Learning Assistant - Pedagogy Head

Lead pedagogy discussions, review individual performance of other Learning Assistants for feedback and suggestions for improvement, and cooperate with professors of my courses to communicate appropriate topics to my LAs.

Teach 50+ students per quarter in introductory and advanced computer science courses; answer questions about compilation, data structures, and class projects; host 3 hours of outside office hours and tutoring per week.

Finalist in mathematics and physical sciences. Received medallions for performing among the top 10 students in the subjects.

Huntington Beach High School Varsity Swim Captain

Assisted the coach in leading our team in practices and at swim meets. Acquired after holding my position on the Varsity team for all four years of high school.

National Merit Commended Scholar

Awarded for performing in the top 3% of high school students on the PSAT in the state of California.

National Hispanic Scholar Award

Achieved for performing among the top Hispanic students in my region on the PSAT. Included admittance into the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, of which I am now a member.
